News from the Hypogeum

The Ipogeo dei Cristallini Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness, training and involving the community for the protection of the material and immaterial cultural heritage of the Sanità district.

We are happy to announce our collaboration with Palingen Social Regeneration @palingen._, an ethical and sustainable tailoring laboratory, which aims to give new possibilities to the inmates of the Pozzuoli women's prison through tailoring work.

On 23, 24 and 25 May, at 5/6/7 pm, the guided tours of our archaeological site will be accompanied by a wine tasting from the Beneventan winery @terrestregate.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Friends of Greek and Roman Art: Philodoroi and the curator in charge of the Greek and Roman Art of the Met Museum of New York.

Members of the Association will be able to visit the Hypogeum at a reduced rate. The Cristallini hypogeum is open from Tuesday to Sunday with visits from 10.00 to 15.00. Reservation is recommended.

The members of the Frankfurt Liebieghaus Polychromy Project were given the unique opportunity to contribute to the investigation, documentation and reconstruction of the sculptural head of the Medusa from Tomb C of the Ipogeo dei Cristallini.

We thank Prof. Carlo Rescigno and the Southern High School for their interest and in-depth study of the Crystalline Hypogeum, including it in the itinerary of the conference Cultures in Fragments. AMPRAW 2023.

It is with great joy that we thank the Director General of UNESCO Audrey Auzoulay and the UNESCO delegation for coming to discover the Cristallini Hypogeum during the UNESCO event at Palazzo Reale Naples Conference on Cultural Heritage in the 21st century.

The XXV edition of the Mediterranean Archaeological Tourism Exchange (BMTA) begins in Paestum on November 2nd! We are present in the stand of the Municipality of Naples Department of Tourism and Productive Activities.

The 26th Rendez-Vous de l'Histoire de Blois has just ended, a privileged meeting place where historians can gather every year to compare their points of view, with the aim of contributing to the progress of research and of historical knowledge.

From 6 to 8 October 2023, from 10.00 to 15.00, the Cristallini Hypogeum hosts the Dust Museum and Dust Gallery with design objects by Piero Livio. The occasion is Edit Napoli, a fair for independent and innovative design and craftsmanship.
